About Dr. Serraiocco

Dr. Gina Serraiocco is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. Raised in Southern California, Dr. Serraiocco completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA. She enjoyed her years at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis before returning home to California for her Internal Medicine residency training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. A life-changing illness (and quest for a self-cure) led Dr. Serraiocco to complete the prestigious 2-year Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine (AWCIM) in Arizona in 2018; she is also an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP). She now views her illness (and subsequent complete resolution) as a gift that launched her discovery and passion for the holistic medicine which she now offers in her consultations.

Dr. Serraiocco has had a lifelong passion for helping patients discover their innate healing abilities, and has been in practice at Sutter's Palo Alto Medical Foundation since 2004. She empowers patients to gain vibrant health via personalized nutrition paradigms and lifestyle-based programs. A strong believer in the mind-body connection, she also guides patients in emotional, psychological and spiritual inquiry. She is skilled in the use of functional testing, evidence-based supplements, and referrals to healing touch therapists when applicable.

Dr. Serraiocco has additionally trained in mindfulness meditation, reiki, sound healing, and spent time with traditional healers in the Yucatan and South America. In 2021, she graduated from the Nine Gates Mystery School, an inter-spiritual immersive exploration of transpersonal psychology and ancient wisdom traditions, with master teachers from Hawaiian, African, Native American, Sufi, esoteric Christian, Hindu, Kabbalah, and Buddhist wisdom transitions. Patients, however, remain her most constant teachers. She is grateful for the privilege of lifelong learning, and the opportunity to pay it forward through mentoring, doctoring, lecturing, and teaching.

Patient Feedback

Dr Serraiocco has been my primary care physician for approximately 15 years. I feel so lucky to have found her. She practices a wonderful mix of traditional and alternative medicine. I love that she is an advocate for less is best when it comes to medicine but always has a healthy alternative for me rather than prescribing drugs. She is kind and patient and LISTENS. When I was in to see her last she asked me about getting the shingles vaccination. When I told her I didn’t really believe in it, she took the time to tell me why she was so passionately in favor of it. I was sold.

Dr Gina is wonderful. She is kind, quick, smart and practices the perfect mix of traditional and alternative medicine. I don’t know how she integrates it but she does flawlessly. You never have to remind her who you are and what your tolerance level is..she knows you. I am a super nervous patient but just having a Dr who truly cares and who is in my corner gives me the strength to keep fighting for good health like a lucky charm you carry in your pocket
